Lunch Program
Each day, students have two choices for their main dish and access to the salad bar. Our students have access to fresh produce from local island farms whenever possible. Food allergies will be honored to the best of our ability with a written medical statement from a State licensed health care provider. Parents are welcome to have lunch with their child but need to notify the school office by 9:00 am on the day they wish to come. Menus are distributed to each student once a month, available in the office, and can also be found on the school website here.
If you would like your child to participate in our hot lunch program, the cost for lunch is $3.65. In addition, if your student would like to purchase milk from school for their home lunch, the cost is $0.50 per milk. Please send a check (payable to Sauvie Island School) or cash with your student to give to Ann at the start of the school day. Each student in grades K-8 will have a MealTime account, and the funds sent to your student will be tracked through MealTime. Notifications will be sent to you via e-mail or phone when your student's account is low.
Applications for the federally funded Free and Reduced Lunch Program are available online. If you need assistance in filling out the forms or prefer a paper copy, you can find more information here or by visiting our school office. We encourage families to apply for this program! Students are provided with Free and Reduced lunch in the same manner as the fully paid lunch program, which can be a huge benefit for our school families.
