Dear SIS Families,
Today, we are operating with a limited number of classroom teachers and support staff due to absent staff members due to illness. While our team is doing everything possible to maintain a productive day for students, this highlights the challenges we are currently facing.
After careful consideration, we have made the decision to cancel school tomorrow, December 20th, due to a significant increase in student and staff illnesses. With the current number of absences, we are unable to ensure adequately staffed classrooms and a safe learning environment for our students.
Additionally, we will also be canceling tonight's concert. However, we are pleased to share that the concert will be rescheduled for Tuesday, January 7th, so students will still have the opportunity to perform. We wanted to share this information as soon as possible to allow families time to adjust if they were planning on attending this evening’s performance. The Middle School dance will also be rescheduled for Friday, January 17th.
We understand how much our students and families look forward to these special events, and we sincerely apologize for any disappointment or inconvenience this may cause.
This closure allows time for rest and recovery across our school community over the Winter Break, ensuring we can return to a safe and productive environment for students and staff in the new year. Your understanding and support regarding this decision are greatly appreciated as we prioritize the health and well-being of everyone in our school.

Thank you for your continued support and for helping us maintain a healthy and thriving school community.
Wishing all the best over the holiday season,
