Come learn more about our Place-based educational philosophy, the benefits of experiential community-based learning, and how those teaching styles relate to those all-important middle school years! Our teachers, students, and even some of our alumni and their families will be there to share their experiences and to answer questions. Pizza will be provided.

We would like to invite our Middle School Families to a Zoom meeting on Sunday, January 21st, from 6-6:30 PM to provide families with an update and a preview of the school day/schedule utilizing alternative learning spaces. Please check your email for the Zoom link and additional information.
Due to ongoing inclement weather and hazardous driving conditions, Sauvie Island School will be closed on Friday, January 19th. We will be meet with our Middle School staff on Sunday to finish our plan for the return of our Middle School Students on Monday, January 22nd. Please continue to check your email for updates.
Sauvie Island School will be on a 2-hour delayed start for Friday, January 19th, for K-5th ONLY. There will be NO school for grades 6th-8th on Friday. We are sad to report that during the cold weather, our middle school building suffered a burst pipe in the ceiling. Please check your email for additional information!
The PTC and The Columbia Theatre are partnering for a super fun fundraising opportunity for our school. For $10, you and your child can attend five movies at The Columbia Theatre and get discount coupons for popcorn, sodas, and treats. The movies start the week of January 27th and end on February 28th. Please take a look at the attached flyer and email PTC@sauvieislandschool.org if you have any questions. Please make checks payable to SIS PTC. The PTC gets 30% of sales from each purchased ticket pack.
